JAMES N. MUELLER
Mr. James Mueller of Pound, formerly of Port Washington, passed away at The Bay At Suring Nursing Home in Suring early Saturday morning, May 23, 2020. He was 87 years old.
Jim was born in Port Washington on June 16, 1932, son of Frederick and Minnie Sauer Mueller. He attended local schools before joining the US Navy.
On October 11, 1958, Jim was united in marriage with Janet Luedtke at St. Peter United Church of Christ Church in Saukville. The couple lived on Chestnut Street in Port Washington. Mr. Mueller worked on the assembly line at Trak International, later becoming a foreman. He retired after more than 40 years on the job.
Jim and Jan moved to Pound in 1999 to enjoy their retirement.
Mr. Mueller was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Port Washington and a member of VFW 5373. He loved snowmobiling, hunting, fishing early in the morning, ice fishing, birdwatching and attending auctions. He enjoyed working in the yard, putzing with repairs and painting around the house. He was a bit of a homebody and would only go on vacation if Jan forced him to. Jim was also an avid reader and could often be found with a good Louis L'Amour western in his hand.
