Obituary

James A. Moran, of Grafton, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, March 29, 2024, at the age of 57.

Jim was born on April 16, 1966, to Michael and the late Jana (Storch) Moran, in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He graduated from Assumption High School in 1984 and pursued a degree in Business from Marquette University.

On November 25, 1995, Jim was united in marriage to Lorie Alberts, at Our Lady of Peace in Marshfield, Wisconsin.

Jim was a man of unwavering integrity and devotion. His commitment to excellence shone brightly in all his endeavors. He dedicated his life to his family, friends, and his work. Jim was a proud Owner of a commercial cleaning business for over 35 years.

Beyond his career, Jim found joy in nature, particularly through fishing and hunting. Another love of Jim's was spending time with family on White Sand Lake and Lake DuBay. He was always interested in experiencing new adventures on family vacations. His love for the outdoors extended to gardening, a passion he cultivated with care and expertise. He was a loyal supporter of Marquette Basketball and the Green Bay Packers, he found joy in cheering on his favorite teams. Jim looked forward to the annual Marquette (college friends) Basketball game day and outing which now includes his son Hunter.

Jim's dedication to family was endless. He attended all his son Hunter's sporting events, never missing an opportunity to show his support and love. His presence was a constant source of strength and encouragement for those around him, always looking out for his friends and family.

Those left to cherish Jim's life will forever hold dear memories they created together. He is survived by his wife, Lorie Alberts Moran; his cherished son, Hunter Moran; his father, Michael Moran (Kathy), his brother, John (Jill) Moran; his sister, Jill (Duke) Schlagenhaft; his nieces and nephews, Megan (Moran) Breu, Jaime Moran, Katie (Moran) Schueller, and Jenna Moran, Mackenzie and Mason Schlagenhaft; his in-laws, Bernie (Kaye) Alberts, brother-in-law, Greg (Laurie) Alberts, and niece Kaitlin Alberts, along with many other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Jim's life will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave, Cedarburg. The family will warmly welcome friends and relatives from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society in honor of Jim's memory of his beloved mother Jana Moran.
