Of Random Lake, passed away in the early morning hours of Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee. He was 72 years old. Jim was born in Milwaukee on July 26, 1947, son of Lawrence Mesarich and Francine (nee Nagy) Mesarich. He grew up in Milwaukee and attended St. Leo's Catholic Grade School and Milwaukee Washington High School. After high school, Jim served his country in the US Army in Vietnam. After he was honorable discharged from the Army, Jim started his career in printing at Wisconsin Color Press, where he worked for over 30 years. In 2002, Wisconsin Color Press closed, and Jim went to work for Allen Edmonds until 2009 when he retired. In 1999 he married Kelly Mueller at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Random Lake.
Jim was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Parish, where he was an usher. He also enjoyed golf, following Formula 1 racing, the Tour de France, watching Wisconsin Badger football and James Bond movies. He was a devoted husband and loved his faithful companions Cosmo and Chula.
Mr. Mesarich is survived by his loving wife Kelly of Random Lake, his sister Carole Sedloff of Oconomowoc, sisters-in-law Sue Mesarich of Burnsville, MN, Kristine (Peter) Bemis and Jane (Ron) Rumack both of Random Lake, brother-in-law Chuck (Barb) Mueller of Random Lake and mother-in-law Pat (Jim) Schmitz of Random Lake. He is further survived by his special niece and goddaughter Meg (Mark) Henke of Merton, nephew Paul Oehler of Portland, six nephews, two nieces, one great-niece and nephew, other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Larry Mesarich, and his father-in-law John Mueller.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 30th, at 6 PM at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish-St. Mary's Chapel in Random Lake. Father Gideon Buya will preside over the Mass. He will be laid to rest with military honors in St. Mary's Parish Cemetery, Random Lake. Visitation will take place at the CHURCH on Friday from 3:00-5:45 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Renovation Fund at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish or the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight.
