James L. ldquo;Jimrdquo; Barnes 60 of Syracuse IN passed away Saturday September 4 2010nbsp; in Fort Wayne IN after a brief battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia which he fought with strength and courage.nbsp; He was born on June 26 1950 in Port Washington to Leroy amp; Gertrude ldquo;Gertrdquo; (Lesch) Barnes.nbsp; On November 2 1991 he was united in marriage with Patty Connors in West Bend. The couple resided in West Bend until moving to Syracuse IN in 2005.nbsp; He was most recently a sales manager for Chore Time Brock in Milford IN.nbsp; Prior to that he had been with Gehl Company in West Bend for thirty five years.nbsp; Jim was a loving husband son father and grandpa to lsquo;his boysrsquo;.nbsp; Jim was an avid hunter and golfer.nbsp; He enjoyed spending time at the cabin up north near Crivitz.nbsp; Jim is survived by his wife Patty of Syracuse IN his daughter and son-in-law Lori and Leroy Hamilton of Sheboygan and two grandsons: his buddy Logan and his newest grandson Layton.nbsp; He is further survived by his mother Gertrude ldquo;Gertrdquo; Barnes of Athelstane WI two sisters: Jane (Lee) Kimpel of Port Washington and Judy (Bob) Gregozeski of Jackson nieces nephews and many friends from Indiana and Wisconsin.nbsp; He was preceded in death by his son Paul Barnes his father Leroy Barnes and his brother John Barnes.nbsp; There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday September 10 2010 at St. Maryrsquo;s Catholic Church in Port Washington at 2:00 PM.nbsp; The family will receive visitors at the church on Friday from 12 noon -2:00PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society earmarked AML Research. The Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
