James Friend of Random Lake passed away on Tuesday May 5 2015 at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls. He was 77 years old. Jim was born on June 10 1937 in Woodruff WI son of James Friend and Eva Searle Friend. On May 21 1960 he married Doris Jacoby at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Random Lake. Jim worked as a Pressman for Times Printing for over 26 years retiring in 2000. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish and the Random Lake Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing collecting coins woodworking gardening with his brother and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of almost 55 years Doris of Random Lake four children: James Friend John (Bonnie) Friend Joseph Friend and Jane (special friend Max Werner) Grover all of Random Lake six grandchildren three great-grandchildren siblings Roland (Sandra) Friend of Random Lake and Nancy (Gary) Kraus of Woodruff brothers-in-law Donald (Lois) Jacoby of Thiensville and James (Mary) Jacoby of Fredonia sisters-in-law Mary (Tom) Morgan of Random Lake and Geri Jacoby of Fredonia nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his son-in-law Randy Grover three brothers one sister brothers and sisters-in-law. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday May 8th at 7 PM at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish - St. Mary's Chapel 230 Butler St. Random Lake. Father Richard Cerpich will preside. He will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Parish Cemetery Random Lake. Visitation will take place on Friday May 8th at the CHURCH from 4-7 PM.
