James Richard Fuller, 85, of Port Washington, Wisconsin, died on August 1, 2020 at home, surrounded by family. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on April 12, 1935, the oldest child of Wallace and Marjorie Fuller, of Coffeyville, Kansas. Jim was an Eagle Scout. He attended Coffeyville Community College on a full-ride football scholarship and, later, the University of Tulsa. He served two years in the United States Navy, from 1955-57 and, for thirty-five years, was a cost analyst in the printing business. On July 20, 1958, he married Loretta Fields, of Joplin, Missouri, and the two celebrated their 62nd anniversary just ten days before his death. The couple moved to Fulton, Missouri in 1965; they spent the majority of their married life there before moving to Wisconsin in 2015. Jim was the loving and compassionate father of five children: Randall Fuller (Julie), of Lawrence, Kansas; Kimberly Wolfmeier, of Columbia, Missouri; Susan Case (Carey), of Erie, Colorado; Bradley Fuller (Emily), of Columbia, Missouri, and Nicole Dawson (Josh), of Millersburg, Missouri. He was adored by his fifteen grandchildren. A man of many and diverse interests, Jim was a passionate fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, an enthusiastic coin collector, and a voracious reader. For several years he was the author of a regular column about sports in the Columbia Tribune (Mo.). He possessed a completely original sense of humor as well as a remarkable zest for life. He will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and sister, Patricia Wesner, and is survived by his wife and children. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff of Metro Milwaukee Hospice as well as the Aurora Medical Center in Grafton.
