James F. Herget nbsp; Mr. Jim Herget of Country Club Road in the town of Belgium passed away Wednesday afternoon September 23 2009 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls. He was 74 years old. Jim was born May 15 1935 in Milwaukee the son of William and Alice Franske Herget. He graduated from Messmer High School in Milwaukee in 1953 and proudly served his country in the Army Air Corps as a 2 year draftee. Upon returning from the service he moved to California for the next 4 years to build custom houses with his brother Bob. He returned to Milwaukee where he was employed at the North Shore Water Treatment Plant for a short period.nbsp; For the next 30 years Jim worked as a stockbroker first as Paine Weber in Milwaukee and then at Blunt Ellis amp; Loewi in Grafton where he also served as branch manager. In the mid 1980rsquo;s Jim was named one of the top 100 brokers in the country bynbsp; Moneynbsp; Magazine. He retired in 1997. Mr. Herget was a member of St. Mary Parish Lake Church. He was passionate about golfing and enjoyed spending time on the course with friends and his life partner Barb. Jim was a member of the Brown Deer Menrsquo;s League as well as the former Squires Country Club in Belgium. He also enjoyed hunting fishing and traveling to California. Jim is survived by his life partner and best friend of 37 years Barb Frenz and his 2 children James (Karyl) of Mayville and Christine of Seattle WA. He is further survived by his 2 grandchildren Marshall and Kayla of Mayville his mother Alice Bernhardt of Port Washington his brother Bill (Pat) Herget of Milwaukee his father and mother-in-law Milen and Moira Frenz of Sturgeon Bay one brother-in-law David (Barb) Frenz of Franklin two sisters-in-law Carol Herget of Brookfield and Susan (John Prudlow) Frenz of Milwaukee nieces nephews other relatives and many close friends. He is preceded in death by his father William and his brother Bob. Funeral Services will be held at 7PM on Monday September 28 2009 at the Eernisse Funeral Home 171 N. Royal Ave. in Belgium. Father Guy Gurath will officiate. Jim will be laid to rest at St. Maryrsquo;s Cemetery Lake Church. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5-7PM. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Sharon S.
