JAMES E. GORMAN Jim Gorman of Harbor Village in Port Washington passed away Sunday evening September 30 2012. He was 75 years old. Jim was born in Chicago IL on November 12 1936 son of John and Kathryn Scanlon Gorman. He attended local schools and graduated from St. Rita's High School with the Class of 1954. On July 9 1966 he was united in marriage with Sue Rismeyer at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Port Washington. Mr. Gorman worked at Century Steel in Chicago retiring in 1987 as a Foreman after 30 years on the job. The couple moved to Port Washington after that. Jim was a big sports fan enjoying everything from horseracing to the Chicago Bulls and the Blackhawks. He liked reading and the couple enjoyed traveling especially to the western United States. Jim is survived by his wife Sue their close friend Connie Johnson nieces nephews other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents sister Gloria (the late Fran) Gunty and brother John (the late Eileen) Gorman. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. He will be inurned at St. Mary's Cemetery Port Washington. Memorials in his name may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
