Obituary

JAMES ALOIS BEDNARCZYK Mr. Jim Bednarczyk of 1st Ave. in Grafton formerly of Mequon and Port Washington passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday evening June 8th 2009 after a valiant battle with cancer.nbsp; He was 71 years old. James was born in Milwaukee on January 16 1938 son of Alois and Jane Ledziun Bednarczyk.nbsp; He graduated from Bayview High School in January of 1957 and entered the United States Air Force.nbsp; After he was discharged he was united in marriage with Ms. Julianne Nell at St. Peter amp; Paul Polish National Catholic Church in South Milwaukee on October 26 1963.nbsp; The couple moved to Port Washington in 1974 and to Mequon in 1987.nbsp; They moved again to Grafton in 2004. Jim spent 18 years as an electronic supervisor at various companies in the area before becoming an agent for American Family Insurance.nbsp; He retired in 2004 after spending 27 years with the company.nbsp; Mr. Bednarczyk was frequently honored by AFI as an ldquo;All American Agentrdquo; and was a Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow.nbsp; He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Grafton as well as a former president of the Ozaukee Toastmasters Club a member of the Ozaukee Senior Golf League treasurer of the Blue Heron Society former board-member of the Homeowners Association in Mequon and a former board-member of the Glendale Chamber of Commerce.nbsp; In all of his spare time he enjoyed golfing and attending Indy-car races with his daughter.nbsp; Jim is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Julie of Grafton and their daughter Anita Jane Bednarczyk of Mequon.nbsp; He is further survived by two sisters: Joan Grochowski of Burlington and Eileen (Wesley) Webber of Milwaukee sister- in-law Marjorie (Allan) Zimmerman of Dakota Dunes SD nieces nephews other relatives and many dear friends and former clients. nbsp;He is preceded in death by his parents his father-in-law and recently his mother-in-law Sophie Nell.nbsp; Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday June 13th at Grace Lutheran Church 715 6th Ave. Grafton.nbsp; Pastor Paul Bulgerin and Pastor Heidi Murken will officiate.nbsp; Services will be followed with Military Honors.nbsp; The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Saturday from 10AM until time of services at 12 noon.nbsp;br /Service:br /pspan style=\Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday June 13th at Grace Lutheran Church 715 6th Ave. Grafton./span/p
