JACQUELINE SPEAR Mrs. Jackie Spear of Stokdyk Ingelse Road in Oostburg passed away at her residence early Monday morning August 22 2011 after a long battle with cancer. She was 60 years old. Jacqueline was born in Milwaukee on June 30 1951 daughter of Harvey and Jean Grassel Schreiber. She grew up in Brookfield and attended local schools. She received a degree from Milwaukee County School of Nursing and began her career as a registered nurse. Jackie loved singing and was active in the Elmbrook Church Choir during and after nursing school. Mrs. Spear worked at Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Port Washington retiring last year after almost 30 years of service. She lived in the Belgium area and later moved to Oostburg in 1981. She was united in marriage with Jeffrey Spear on September 14 1991 at Portview Christian Center in Port Washington. The couple remained in the Oostburg area. Jackie could often be seen taking her dogs Lily and Wiggles for long walks in the countryside. She enjoyed being outdoors frequently going for bike rides but also doing lots of yard work and gardening. Jackie is survived by her husband Jeff of Oostburg son Jason Janusiak of Eagle River and grandson Maverick Janusiak also of Eagle River. She is further survived by her mother Jean Schreiber/Benkovic of Brookfield twin sister Cynthia (John) Flanner of St. Francis nephews Mark Flanner of Ann Arbor MI and Ben Flanner of Brooklyn NY brother-in-law Larry Spear of Waubeka other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her step-father Fred Benkovic. A Memorial Service will be held at 4PM on Friday August 26th at the Eernisse Funeral Home in Belgium 171 N. Royal Ave (Hwy LL Park St.). The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4PM.
