JACQUELINE JACKIE OLAFSON MILLER Jacqueline Jackie Olafson Miller passed away Thursday evening October 30 2014 in Mequon Wisconsin. She was born on June 26 1934 in Grand Forks North Dakota and grew up in Minneapolis Minnesota. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1952 and later that same year married her high school sweetheart Roger Lund Olafson. Roger and Jackie lived in Minneapolis for a few years before eventually relocating to Hagerstown Maryland where Roger was offered a management position with Mack Trucks and Jackie became a homemaker. They had three children Vickie Gayle and Kristin. Jackie was widowed in 1973 when Roger passed away from lung cancer. In May of 1993 she married her second husband Marvin Miller and subsequently relocated to a beautiful renovated log cabin home near Berkley Springs West Virginia where they enjoyed entertaining family and friends. After Marvin passed away as a result of a heart condition in 2008 Jackie moved to Mequon Wisconsin to live near her youngest daughter her daughter's husband and their three young children. Jackie moved into a senior independent apartment community and built a happy and fulfilling life in Wisconsin. She frequently got together with family and loved being surrounded by the joys of her life her three young grandchildren. She also enjoyed socializing with friends in her apartment community often cooking for and attending events in her building. She particularly treasured her book club where she enjoyed the company of like-minded readers and discussing recent books as she was a voracious reader her entire life. Jackie maintained an active curiosity throughout her life enjoyed discussing and analyzing world events and had great fun taking various educational trips with her friends and family and reporting back what she had learned. Jackie was very loved by all who knew her and will be missed greatly by her family and friends. Jackie is survived by her children their spouses and her grandchildren Vickie Olafson (John Duncan) and their children Katherine Lund Duncan and John D. Duncan III; Gayle Walker (Mark Walker); and Kristin Wall (Marc Wall) and their children Alex Grace and Adam. Jackie is also survived by her sisters Shirley Raze and Sharon Davis. Funeral Services will be held in Minneapolis MN at a later date. Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
