Obituary

Jacob Biever Jake Biever of Random Lake formerly of Port Washington passed away unexpectedly Friday February 28 at his residence. He was 73 years old. Jake was born May 26 1940 in Port Washington the son of George and Lucille Lauters Biever. On October 28 1967 he was united in marriage with Diane Murphy at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Random Lake. Jake was the former owner of Midway Gas Station and Midway Trucking. Currently he was driving part time for DeMaster Trucking in Cedar Grove. Jake was a member of our Our Lady of the Lakes Parish St. Mary's Chapel in Random Lake. In his spare time you could find him working in his shop attending car shows organizing fall car cruises or supporting his grandchildren at their sporting events. Jake was an avid NASCAR and Matt Kenseth fan and enjoyed local short track races. He also looked forward to his monthly Saturday morning breakfast with car club friends. Jake was a loving husband dad grandfather and friend. He was always willing to help anyone out when they were in need. His contagious laugh and love of life will never be forgotten. Jake is survived by his wife Diane of Random Lake and their three children: Rhonda (Mike) Retzlaff of Allenton Lisa (Richard) Weiss of Fredonia and Doug Biever of Random Lake. He is further survived by 6 grandchildren: Keana Matthew Jesse Chelsea Dylan and Paige 3 step-grandchildren: Alex Meghan and Sam brothers Tom (Betty) Biever of Fredonia and Jerry (Mary) Biever of Port Washington sisters Alice (Don) Krier of Oostburg and Kathy (Dave) Pannier of Tyler TX brothers-in-law Dan (Carol) Murphy of Fredonia and Dennis (Theresa) Murphy of Brown Deer nieces nephews other relatives and many dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Mary Lou (Gordon) Kapitz. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6PM on Thursday March 6 2014 at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish St. Mary's Chapel 230 Butler St. Random Lake. The family will receive visitors at the church on Thursday from 2-5:30PM. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested. The Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
