Jack E. Kelly, of Cedarburg and formerly of Mequon, passed away early Saturday morning, March 26, 2016 at Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon. He was 85 years old. Jack was born October 15, 1930 in Madison, the son of Thomas and Mary (nee Middlin) Kelly. After graduation, Jack earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from UW Madison. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War on the U.S.S. Wisconsin. On October 12, 1956, he was united in marriage with Mary Froehlke in Dubuque, Iowa. For over 20 years, Jack worked as an Auditor for the Real Estate Commission of Wisconsin, and also prepared income taxes with Acc-U-Rite Tax Services. Jack enjoyed fishing, golfing, horseshoes, playing sheepshead with his friends, scrapbooking, woodworking, and was an avid reader.
Jack is survived by his wife Mary and their children: Deborah (Richard) Hunter of Martinez, CA, Colleen (William) Petzke of Cedarburg and Daniel (Ann Widmar) Kelly of Scottsdale, AZ. He is further survived by 8 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and their families, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Donald (Ruth) Kelly and Robert (Katheryn) Kelly.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave. in Cedarburg. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 10-11:30AM. He will be laid to rest at Mt Olivet Cemetery in Elkhorn.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the ADRC of Ozaukee County, Lakefield Adult Day Care or the Alzheimer's Association of Wisconsin.
