Irv Partenheimer, of Cedarburg, WI, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2016. He was born in Chicago on December 17, 1938, raised in Salem, WI, and spent 35 years living in Algonquin, IL, before retiring back in WI to be near his grandchildren.
Survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Karen (Wagner) Partenheimer; daughter and son-in-law, Julie & Tedd Lookatch of Mequon; grandsons, Noah, Josh & Benji Lookatch; sister, Eleanor Jung; brothers, Walt (Mari) Partenheimer and John (Dottie ) Partenheimer; sister-in-law, Paula Smith; many nieces, nephews, extended family members, in-laws and friends.
Preceded in death by his son, Kurt Partenheimer; parents, Fredrich & Anna (Fick) Partenheimer; brother, Fred Partenheimer; sisters, Esther Kermgard and Lillian Holm.
A proud Badger, Irv played football at the University of Wisconsin where he received his degree in Mechanical Engineering and met the love of his life, Karen. He spent the majority of his career in the manufacturing industry in the Chicago area and retired in 2005 from Grove Industries. Irv was a dedicated father and grandfather who was a regular attendee for soccer, baseball and football games as well as curling matches and music concerts. He was a handyman to many, an avid golfer and a dedicated Packer fan. He also volunteered on the board of his condo association and at Pilgrim UCC in Grafton. He will always be remembered as a man of integrity who loved his family deeply and showed it every day.
Memorial Service will be held Friday, September 9 at 11am with visitation at 10am. Pilgrim United Church of Christ, 1621 2nd Ave, Grafton, WI, 53024. Memorial donations may be made to Pilgrim UCC.
