Obituary

Irene Hoge Irene Hoge age 95 passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Horizon Hospice in Mequon on Thursday December 20 2012. Irene was born August 13 1917 in Milwaukee the daughter of John and Catherine Michalowski Juszczynski. Irene married Erwin P. Hoge in Milwaukee at St. Adalbert's Catholic Church on June 26 1937. They moved to Port Washington in 1951 when Erwin was transferred to Wisconsin Electric Power Co. Erwin preceded her in death on November 13 1973. They had two daughters Carol Ann (Roy) Weyker and Patricia Marie (Adrian) Voeller both of Port Washington. She was employed at the former St. Alphonsus Hospital in Port Washington for 30 years beginning in the coffee shop and then as a radiology aide. She retired in 1985. Irene was a member of St. Peter's Alcantara Parish in Port Washington. She was also a member of EMBA women's auxiliary. She enjoyed knitting crossword puzzles and her McDonald's coffee group. Irene was very proud of the fact that she had two daughters and from those daughters and their husbands she was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Her daughters survive her as do her grandchildren: Melissa (Dave) Janik Laurie (Chris) Janik Krista (John) Tiegs Amy (Scott) Johnson Mary Weyker Jeffrey (Nisha) Weyker Terri (Clint) Weninger Kathy (Karl) Schefft Paul Voeller Greg (Robin) Voeller Michael (Jocelyn) Voeller Tim (Sonja) Voeller Andrew (Allison) Voeller. She is further survived by great-grandchildren: Dustin and Carol Ann McNeil Geoffrey Baumann Becca Brandon Jackie Joey and Nicky Janik Mathew Michael and Justine Tiegs Ryan Aaron and Holly Weninger Madison Morgan and Emma Weyker Caleigh Gosewehr Alexis Braden and Davis Voeller Rienne and Adrian James Voeller Henry Voeller Nolan and Kyle Voeller Fritz and Willy Voeller Zachary and Jason Johnson and brother John (Judy) Juszczynski of Greenfield brother-in-law James Templeton of Wauwatosa other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband 4 brothers 1 sister granddaughter Sue Jane Weyker McNeil and great-granddaughter Elizabeth Johnson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon on Saturday December 22 at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church 1800 N. Wisconsin Ave. Port Washington. Father Patrick Wendt will preside. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at St. Mary's Cemetery in Port Washington. The family will receive visitors at the church on Saturday from 10AM-12 noon. In lieu of flowers memorials to a charity of your choice are appreciated. The family would like to especially thank the staff at Columbia St. Mary's and Horizon Hospice for all their care and compassion. Our Mom made us laugh...wiped our tears...hugged us tight. Watched us succeed saw us fall...cheered us on kept us strong...and drove us a little crazy at times...but Moms are a precious gift from God that enables you to have a friend forever!
