Ina Rae Saunders (nee Paulson) passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Thursday, November 22, 2018. She was 64 years old. Ina was born in Port Washington to Gerald and Naomi (nee Riemert) on February 4, 1954.
Ina grew up in Port Washington and at age 18 she moved to Texas to work as a nanny and pursue nursing school. In 1992, she returned to Port Washington. Ina was known as a great cook and her poppy seed torte was a family favorite. She enjoyed crocheting and reading her bible and her outgoing personality made friends quickly. Above all, Ina cherished the time spent with her family.
Ina is survived by her children Cory Saunders of Saukville, Rachel (Ryan) Lanser of Port Washington, Nicholas (Roxanne) Paulson of De Forest, grandchildren Brittany (Sean Arendt) Saunders, Brent Saunders, Mason Lanser, Madison Lanser, Remington Paulson and great grandchild Olivia Arendt, brothers Robert (Dawn) Paulson, Timothy Paulson, Jerry (Paula) Paulson, sisters Susan (Richard) Molitor, Anita (Brian) Franzke and Kay Paulson, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Roger and Ronald Paulson.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 6:00 PM at Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 West Grand Avenue Port Washington, 53074. Visitation will be held at 4:00 PM until the time of service at 6:00 PM. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of St. Mary's Ozaukee, Belgium Gardens and Horizon Hospice.
