Obituary

HOMER A. LUNDE Mr. Homer Lunde age 82 years of Random Lake passed away on Friday July 15 2005 at Froedert Lutheran Memorial Hospital in Wauwatosa. He was born on October 8 1922 in Regina Sask Canada to Henry and Agnes Hanson Lunde. His family moved to North Dakota when Homer was 3 years old. Upon graduation from high school Homer went into the CCW and then was drafted in the Army for World War II. He was in the 2nd Armored Division and Hell on Wheels Division. He was in the Battle of the Bulge and the Invasion of Normandy. When Homer returned home he was united in marriage to Bernice Egerer on July 5 1952. During this time Homer attended MSOE and MATC and obtained an education as a Machinist. He worked for the Milwaukee Railroad and later retired from A.O. Smith in 1985. Throughout his working life he also operated the family dairy farm. Mr. Lunde was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Random Lake the Grand Lodge of the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers and was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. His hobbies included flower gardening bird watching and teaching himself how to play the guitar and the piano. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Bernice four children Wayne (Helen) of West Bend Dave (Nancy) and Cheryl (Perry) Berndt both of Random Lake and James (Michelle) of Adell. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; Michelle (Chris) Rick Melissa and Brian Lunde Nicole and Steven Lunde Tyler Garett Kelsey and Dylan Berndt and Ashley Justin Elise and Nicholas Lunde and 2 step-grandchildren: Ryan and Brittni Hein. He is further survived by one sister Betty Widman of Menomonee Falls sisters and brothers-in-law; Sally (Larry) Jentges of Port Washington Marlene (Gus) Blank of Jackson Geraldine Egerer of Bayside Linda (Jeff) Klecker of Fort Atkinson Robert (Henrietta) Egerer of Grafton Marvin (Carol) Egerer of Cedar Grove and Laverne Egerer of Belgium nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. He will also be dearly missed by his faithful companion Lucky. He was preceded in death by his parents three sisters Beulah Hewitt Lunde Evelyn Pearlson and Ruth Baluvelt two brothers Carl and Leon Lunde three sisters-in-law Elanore Hiley Lorraine Walters and Clorinda Schmidt and seven brothers-in-law; Willard Edgar Clarence Henry Jr. George Gerald and Eugene Egerer. Funeral services will be held at 7PM on Tuesday July 19 at the CHURCH with Pastor Ned Dorau officiating. He will be laid to rest in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday July 19 from 5PM until the time of service.
