HILDEGARDE M. BARWICK Mrs. Hildegarde Barwick of Terry Lane in Port Washington passed away on Wednesday evening August 6 2008 at Lasata Care Center in Cedarburg where she had been residing since March. She was eleven days short of her 96th birthday. Hildegarde was born in Port Washington on August 17 1912 daughter of Nicholas and Anna Leitner Decker. She was united in marriage with Leon Barwick at St. Maryrsquo;s Catholic Church in Port Washington on December 31 1955. He preceded her in death in 1957. Mrs. Barwick worked for many years in the kitchen at St. Alphonses Hospital retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. Maryrsquo;s Catholic Church. Hildegarde is survived by 3 siblings: Nicholas and George Decker both of Port Washington and Esther (Norbert) Hubing of Tucson AZ. She is further survived by nieces nephews other relatives and friends. Hildegarde is preceded in death by her husband Leon sister Frances Decker and brothers Raymond and Lawrence Decker. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Tuesday August 12 at St. Maryrsquo;s Catholic Church in Port Washington. Father Tom Lijewski will officiate. The family will receive visitors at the church on Tuesday from 10:30AM until Mass at 11AM. Mrs. Barwick will be laid to rest next to her husband in St. Maryrsquo;s Cemetery Port Washington.
