Hildegard E. Liebherr nbsp; Mrs. Hildegard E Liebherr of Port Washington and formerly of Milwaukee and southern Ozaukee county nbsp;passed away Tuesday afternoon October 26 2010 at Harbor Club where she had resided. She was two days short of her 86th birthday. Hildegard was born October 28 1924 in Thalheim Germany the daughter of Max and Elsie Schwind Lorenz. nbsp;On September 29 1945 she was united in marriage with Harold Liebherr at Lake Charles LA. He preceded her in death in 1989. Mrs. Liebherr was an avid bird lover and a founding member of the Wisconsin Society of Ornithology. She participated locally with a Grafton Weaverrsquo;s Guild was an avid photographer and painter and was a longtime supporter of the Milwaukee Symphony. nbsp;She is survived by her son Dr. James (Dr. Ann Hajek) Liebherr of Ithaca NY grandchildren: Gretchen (Roger) Powell Lisa Liebherr and Jonathan Liebherr. She is further survived by great-granddaughters Armella and Sophia Powell brother-in-law Kenneth Liebherr of Lake Tomahawk a niece and a nephew other relatives and friends. Following Hildegardrsquo;s wishes a private family service was held after cremation. The Eernisse Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
