Hermine Bichler, 89, of Port Washington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 14, 2026. Hermine was born in Hungary on September 5, 1936. She met her husband Eugene M. Bichler and was united in marriage on January 19, 1957, at St Mary's Catholic Church in Port Washington.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, music, bingo, and cherished her time with family and friends.

Hermine is survived by her siblings Anna Hailer, Hemma Kressierer, Hildegard (Gary) Stramowski; her children, Linda Payne, Rita (Dan) Poppe, Laurie (Steve) Cleveland, and Edward (Jackie) Bichler; and her beloved grandchildren Lisa, Jaime, Krystal, Joshua, Brittney, Adam, and Alyssa; great-grandchildren Eli, Kylie, Hadley, Roman, and Colter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Adalbert & Eva, sisters Maria and Gisella, husband Eugene Bichler and nephew John Kristbaum.

A Memorial Service for Hermine will be held at 1:30PM on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington (1600 W. Grand Ave. Port Washington, WI 53074). Father Patrick Wendt will be officiating. The family will greet guests from 12 Noon until the time of the service at 1:30PM. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Port Washington.
