Obituary

HENRY N. THILL Mr. Henry Thill of Main Street in Cedar Grove passed away at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center on Wednesday September 3 2014. He was 70 years old. Henry was born in Port Washington on October 8 1943 son of Ray and Lozelle Klos Thill. He grew up in the Dacada area and attended local schools graduating from Random Lake High School with the Class of 1961. Henry served in the US Army where he taught Aviation Maintenance until 1967. He was united in marriage with Diane Risch on June 12 1971 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Lake Church. The couple settled in Cedar Grove and raised their family. Mr. Thill worked at Lake Church Leather until he took a position at Simplicity in Port Washington. He retired in 2005 after almost 30 years on the job. Henry was a member of Divine Savior Parish American Legion Post 412 and the Summer Knights Car Club. Mr. Thill was often seen at local car shows with his '79 Buick Riviera and was instrumental in establishing the St. Mary Car and Tractor Show for the Parish Festival. He enjoyed fishing and working outside: he often helped his son with lawn mowing and landscaping. Henry liked playing sheepshead at the Cedar Grove Library occasionally heading to Oneida to play the slots and taking his grandchildren to Country Grove and Hobo's Restaurant for treats. Mr. Thill was an avid Milwaukee Brewers fan and liked watching NASCAR as well (Go Mark Martin!). Henry is survived by his three sons: Brian (Jenny Justus) Thill of Sheboygan Falls Robert (Colleen) Thill and Lawrence (Andrea) Thill both of Sheboygan two grandchildren: Jacob and Jayden Thill and grand-dog Zoe. He is further survived by his sister Diane (Kenneth) Kruschke of Cascade brothers-in-law Tom Hecox of Mosinee and James (Nancy) Risch of Lake Church sister-in-law Jean Risch of Sheboygan life-long friend and car show buddy Willy Wetor of Random Lake nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Diane their infant daughter Barbara Ann and his sister Janice Hecox. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday leaving the Funeral Home at 6:30 pm and going to Divine Savior- St. Mary Chapel 6092 Lake Church Road Belgium for Mass at 7PM. Father Jim Vojtik will preside. Henry will be laid to rest with Military Honors beside his wife in the parish cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the Eernisse Funeral Home 171 N. Royal Ave. Belgium on Friday September 12th from 2:30-6:30 PM. Memorials are suggested to the National Diabetes Association or to Divine Savior Parish. The family would like to thank the staff at Sheboygan Senior Community and Memorial Medical Center for their compassionate care of Henry.
