Obituary

Helen J. Risch (nee Casper) passed away on February 19, 2017 at Pine Haven Christian Community in Sheboygan Falls. She was 80 years old. Helen was born on December, 23, 1936 to Frank and Luella Casper. She was united in marriage to Arnold M. Risch on April 7, 1956 at St. John's Catholic Church in Plymouth. Helen enjoyed spending time walking and feeding the deer at Harrington Beach. She also had a special place in her heart for her canine companion poodles she and her husband had throughout the years. As a homemaker, Helen spent time cooking, baking and canning for her family. She also enjoyed bird watching, cross word puzzles and watching the snow fall from a window in the house. Helen was extremely proficient with hand work having placed 9th in the world for typing and for a period of about five years keeping busy lacing shoes and moccasins from home for Allen Edmonds. Helen is survived by her three children: Steve (Carol) Risch of Random Lake, Sandra McHugh of Cedar Grove and Christine (Edward) Krimmer of Fontana CA. She is further survived by 7 grandchildren: Wayne, Christopher, Melanie, Joshua, Jacob, Patricia and Daniel 2 great-grandchildren: Clara and Julian brother Emery (Annie) Casper of Sheboygan Falls brother-in-law Bernie (Joyce) Risch of Port Washington sisters-in-law: Dorothy Casper of Sacramento, CA , Victoria Boehle of Germantown, Mary Jane Winter of Sheboygan and Janet (the Late Victor) Risch of Sheboygan Falls. Helen is further survived by other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Arnold, brothers: Orville (Katie) Casper, Harold (Phyllis) Casper and sister Leora (Willard) Verhage. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 5:00 PM at Divine Savior Parish-Holy Cross Chapel (5330 Hwy B Town of Belgium). Father Todd Budde will preside. Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until the time of service at 5:00 PM. She will be inurned with her husband Arnold at St. Mary Parish Cemetery Lake Church the following day at 10:00 AM. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association. Helen's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Pine Haven Christian Communities Covenant Home, Mary Shapaker and the Sharon S. Richardson hospice team for all the loving care and compassion they provided "Ma".
