HELEN C. NIERODE Mts. Helen Nierode passed away at Lasata Care Center in Cedarburg in the early morning hours of Tuesday November 15 2005. She was 93 years old. Helen was born in Port Washington on September 5 1912 daughter of Gustave and Emilie Kleitz Mehring. On June 12 1937 she was united in marriage with Erwin Nierode at St. John's Lutheran Church in Port Washington. He preceded her in death on November 28 1988. Helen was a clerk at the Wisconsin Energies power plant for many years. Mrs. Nierode and her family liked spending time at their second home in Eagle River. She enjoyed cooking baking sewing and socializing. She was also an avid sheepshead player. Helen is survived by her two children: Barbara (Wayne) Schei of Cedarburg and Dale (Patricia) Nierode of Houston TX 3 grandchildren: Trisha and Mark (Joy) Nierode both of Houston TX and Melissa (Kenny) Miller of Dallas TX. She is further survived by her twin brother Harold (Dorothy) Mehring of Campbellsport nieces nephews other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband 1 sister and 3 brothers. Private family services will be held at a later date. Inurnment will take place in Zur Ruhe Cemetery Cedarburg.
