Heidi Sprang, of Belgium, passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 39 years old. Heidi was born in Port Washington on February 16, 1980, daughter of Robert Larsen and Mari Ann (Vani) Larsen. She grew up in Port Washington and graduated from Port Washington High School with the class of 1998. After high school, Heidi graduated with and Associates Degree from University of Wisconsin Washington County. On May 16, 2007, she married Jason Sprang in the Cayman Islands. The couple made their home in Belgium to raise their family. Heidi worked for the Wisconsin Humane Society as an animal behaviorist and an adoption counselor. She furthered her education by attending Animal Behavior College (ABC) based in California. She also worked at Dawgs In Motion in Saukville as a part time dog trainer. Heidi was a member of Christian Life Church in Belgium. She loved traveling with her family, and especially loved the South. Heidi is survived by her husband Jason of Belgium, three children: Sean DuBord of Grafton and Ahnaleigh and Natalie Sprang of Belgium. She is further survived by her parents Bob and Mari Ann Larsen of the Town of Saukville, four siblings: Dawn Coleman of Cedarburg, Keith (Jane) Larsen of Mequon, Kristen Larsen of Cedarburg and Erik (Patty) Larsen of Denver, CO, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends. A memorial service celebrating Heidi's life will take place on Saturday, August 24th, at 11 AM at Christian Life Church, 309 Lakeview Dr., Belgium. A time of gathering will precede the service at the church from 10 – 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family.
