Harvey C. Bandow Mr. Harvey Bandow of Port Washington formerly of Milwaukee passed away Friday morning August 6 2010 at Columba St. Maryrsquo;s Ozaukee Campus. He was 85 years old. Harvey was born October 9 1924 in Milwaukee the son of Arthur and Erna Hinrichs Bandow. On May 11 1946 he was united in marriage with Irma Gulrud at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. She preceded him in death in April 2010. Harvey was a truck driver for Acme Transfer in Milwaukee for nearly 40 years before retiring in 1984. During that time he was a member of the Teamsterrsquo;s Union Local 400. While living in Milwaukee Harvey and Irma were members of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church where he was involved with the Menrsquo;s Club and Finance Committee and served as an Elder. The couple moved to Port Washington in 2007. Harvey enjoyed yard work road trips playing cards with Irma visiting relatives and friends and celebrating his German heritage. Harvey is survived by his son Jeffrey (Carol) Bandow of Saukville and 3 grandchildren; John and Heidi of Saukville and Karl currently in the Air Force.nbsp; He is further survived by his sister Florence Johns of South Milwaukee sisters-in-law; Julie Van Alstine of Rio WI Greta Lind of IL and Audrey (Pete) Beck of Cottage Grove MN June Gulrud of Adams WI nieces nephews other relatives and many friends.nbsp; He is preceded in death by his wife Irma son Harvey Jr. and his parents Arthur and Erna.nbsp; Funeral services will be held on Sunday August 8th at 4 PM at St. Johnrsquo;s Lutheran Church 217 N. Freeman Drive Port Washington with Pastor John Klieve officiating.nbsp; Interment Valhalla Memorial Park in Milwaukee.nbsp; Memorials suggested to Holy Ghost Lutheran Church or St. Johnrsquo;s Lutheran Church.
