HARRIET JEANNE TECH Mrs. Jeanne Tech of Sunset Road in Port Washington formerly of Whitefish Bay Wisconsin Rapids and Plover passed away at her residence on Monday morning March 5th 2007. She was 84 years old. She was born in Waupaca on November 11 1922 the daughter of Guy and Olive Scribner Gilman. After graduating from the Stevens Point Teachers College Ms. Gilman taught school in the Crandon School District at Newald and also in the Wittenberg School District at Galloway. On August 17 1951 she was united in marriage with Dale O. Tech at Buena Vista Methodist Church in rural Plover. The couple later moved to Wisconsin Rapids and then to Whitefish Bay. Mrs. Tech was a member of the Whitefish Bay United Methodist Church and also Living Hope Lutheran Church in Saukville. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and Order of the Amaranth. Jeanne enjoyed knitting reading sewing cards and puzzles. She was a very social and outgoing person who enjoyed being around others. Mrs. Tech is survived by her three children: Terrill (Bonnie) Tech of Eland David (special friend Cathy Greene) Tech of Embarrass MN and Lynn (Robert) Hoefs of Port Washington. She is also survived by six grandchildren: William and Wyatt Tech both of Eland Lucy Vargas and Brian (Stacy) Decorah both of Wittenberg Christopher and Allison Hoefs both of Port Washington and 7 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by three sisters: Gladys May Wentworth of Plover Olive Marie (Clem) Hudziak of Janesville and Patricia Gilman Graham of Milwaukee. She was preceded in death by her husband her parents and one brother Guy Charles Gilman. Funeral Services will be held at 6PM on Thursday March 8th at Living Hope Lutheran Church 1991 Hwy 33 Saukville. Pastor Marilyn Borchardt will officiate. Jeanne will be laid to rest in the Plover Cemetery next to her husband.
