Obituary

HAROLD ldquo;SKINNYrdquo; MAY Harold ldquo;Skinnyrdquo; May formerly of Port Washington passed away Saturday February 5 2011 at Linden Grove in Menomonee Falls. He was 87 years old. Harold was born June 7 1923 in the Town of Fredonia to Alma (Laatsch) May and Peter May. After a boyhood on the family farm outside of Random Lake he served in the Navy in the South Pacific during WW II. After the war he was united in marriage with Virginia ldquo;Ginnyrdquo; Siebenaler a nurse in Port Washington. nbsp;Together they had three children. The family lived in Saukville before moving to Port Washington in 1954 where Harold resided until November 2009. For many years he worked for Erv Antoine Builders building and remodeling houses skills he honed even after his retirement. He was a member of the Port Washington VFW Post #5373. nbsp;In his younger years he rode Harleys and hunted but his life-long passion was fishing. Harold is survived by children Daniel May (Kris MacCallum) of Eau Claire Thomas (Harriet) May of Madison and Joan (Jack) Schmit of Sussex; grandchildren Alicia May Nicholas Schmit Elliott May and Christopher (Jennifer) Schmit; brother Ralph (Violet) May of St. Germaine; sisters-in-law Betty Siebenaler Barbara Siebenaler and Julaine Morgan; sweetheart Mary Ann Schmidt nieces nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents his wife Ginny twin brother Arnold May sister-in-law Mary (Morgan) May and brothers-in-law Floyd Siebenaler Wesley Siebenaler and Jack Morgan. Funeral Services will be held at 2PM on Saturday February 12 at Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W. Grand Ave. Port Washington. Father Pat Wendt will officiate. Harold will be laid to rest at St. Maryrsquo;s Cemetery Port Washington. Visitation will be Saturday February 12th from 12:00 to 2:00 at the funeral home The family thanks the staff at Linden Grove for their kind care in our fatherrsquo;s final months.
