Obituary

HAROLD C. WILD Mr. Harold Wild of Hilltop Road in Fredonia passed away at his residence surrounded by his family on Thursday afternoon May 29 2008. He was 88 years old. Harold was born in Barron WI on June 30 1919 son of Peter and Hermina Schmadl Wild. The family later moved to South Milwaukee. Harold served in the US Army spending most of his tour on the Green Island Fiji. After his return he met and married Marion Podjaski. They were wed on September 22 1956 at St. Michaelrsquo;s Catholic Church in Milwaukee. They settled in Milwaukee and raised their family. Mr. Wild worked in the maintenance division of Milwaukee County Transit retiring in 1981. He and his wife moved to Fredonia in 2000 to be closer to their daughter. Harold was an artist at heart and spent much time sewing bible covers tote bags and other odds and ends. He enjoyed collecting comics coins spending time working on his family tree and following the Milwaukee Brewers. Mr. Wild was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Newburg and the American Legion Bell-Behrens Post 472. He is survived by his wife Marion of Fredonia their children Rita (Robert) Duschl of Fredonia and Charles Wild of Germantown 3 grandchildren: Monica Wild (fiance Dru Zell) of Germantown Tyrone Duschl of Fredonia and Justin Wild of Germantown. He is further survived by 1 sister Sr. Helen Wild MM of Maryknoll NY 2 sisters-in-law: Eloise Wild of Fenton MI and Kathy Wild of Mason City IA nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by 4 brothers: an infant Peter Peter Jr. Edward and Warren and 4 sisters: Anne Behling Kathrine Lemke Hermina Nirschl and Marion Feuer. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 4PM on Monday June 2 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church 521 Congress Dr. in Newburg. Father Kevin Kowalske and Father Karl Acker will officiate. Inurnment will take place in the parish cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Monday from 1-4PM. Memorials are suggested to the St. Michaelrsquo;s Alumni Association 1445 N. 24 St. Milwaukee or Apples of Gold Outreach 405 N. German St. Mayville.
