Mr. Hal Henes of Grafton passed away Saturday morning December 1 2012 at Horizon Hospice in Mequon. He was 64 years old. Hal was born May 12 1948 in Milwaukee the son of Harold and Margaret Risch Henes. After graduating from Juneau High School he went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree from UW Oshkosh. From 1971-1977 he proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserves. Hal worked as a claims manager at American Family Insurance in Brookfield for over 30 years retiring in 2007. On June 30 1990 he was united in marriage with Janine Liedtke in West Bend. An army chef Hal took great pride in his cooking. He also enjoyed fishing and was an avid sports fan of the Packers Badgers and Brewers. Hal is survived by his wife Janine of Grafton and his three children: Meredith Leipzig of Cudahy Amanda Henes (Amy) of Bay View and Charles Henes of Franklin. He is further survived by two granddaughters: Mary Henes and Lydia Leipzig brother Clifford (Marge) Henes of Brookfield sister Barbara Henes of Germantown mother-in-law Ruby Liedtke of Cedarburg 1 brother-in-law 2 sisters-in-law nephews a niece other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial service will be held at 1PM on Saturday December 8 at Eernisse Funeral Home 1167 Washington Ave. Cedarburg with full military honors to follow. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 11AM-1PM. In lieu of flowers memorials to a charity of choice are appreciated.
