Obituary

Gregory R. Jones, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Anita's Gardens in Grafton WI. He was 80 years old. Greg was born in Milwaukee to John and Nell Jones on April 29, 1936. On December 22, 1956 he was united in marriage with Margaret Scharping at Perseverance Presbyterian Church in Milwaukee. Together they had two children. Greg was a devout servant of God. He served as a Sunday school teacher and Royal Ranger Commander for Brookfield Assembly of God Church. He traveled to China, Singapore, Korea and Malaysia on many missions' trips with Christ for the Nations College in Dallas, TX. Greg served his country in the United States Army Corps. His many interests included singing, playing his guitar and writing music. Horses, dogs and eagles always had a special place in his heart. Greg is survived by his children Greg Jr. (Debi) Jones of Nashville, TN and Pamela Jones of Milwaukee, his grandchild Erin Ormsby of Glendale; brother-in-law, Jim (Carolynn) Scharping; niece, Kathy Scharping and nephew, Jim Scharping. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret Jones. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00PM at Eernisse Funeral Home (1600 W. Grand Ave. Port Washington, WI) on Thursday February 23, 2017. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 3:00PM until the time of service.
