1951-2024
Of West Bend, formerly Cedarburg, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 16, 2024, at the age of 72.
Greg was born on December 29, 1951 in Elizabeth, NJ, the son of Norman and Sylvia (nee Iacurci) Hazell.
He attended Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft, NJ, class of 1969. After graduating High School he went on to
study communications at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI, graduating in December 1973.
Greg had multiple career paths throughout his years from 1974 - 2010. This included working in different jobs at
the IBM Manufacturing Plant in New Jersey. From there he moved to Houston, TX as Manager in Administration for
IBM. In 1979, Greg relocated to Milwaukee, WI, as Manager in Accounts Receivables for IBM. He retired from IBM with
over 36 years of service as a Global Services Brand Focal & Customer Relationship Representative.
Survivors include his children Angela (Scott) Krajewski, Eric Hazell, Heather Simon and Tanya (Corey) McNellis;
grandchildren Gracyn and Weston Krajewski, Charlie Hazell, Garret and Nora Simon, and Teagan, Cayden and Madison McNellis; siblings Pat (John) DePamphilis, Chris (Regina) Hazell, and Eric Hazell; along with other relatives and friends.
Greg enjoyed traveling and exploring the US and international destinations whenever possible.
His passions included staying informed about current events, sports, movies and listening to music. A couple of
Greg's favorite pastimes included nurturing his lawn or sitting on the porch, marveling at thunderstorms as they
rolled in, and Friday fish fries. He would often embark on Sunday rides and cherish the Port Washington
Harborfront with his loyal companion Clara.
A Funeral Mass for Greg will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday April 4, 2025, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Parish-North, 1375 Covered Bridge Rd in Cedarburg, WI. There will be no visitation prior to the Mass. Greg's family will greet relatives and friends at a reception, with light refreshments, in the Church Hall following the Mass.
