GREG E. HOOTEN Mr. Greg Hooten of Eva Street in Port Washington formerly of Milwaukee passed away at his residence Friday afternoon March 29 2013. He was 62 years old. Greg was born in Milwaukee on December 10 1950 son of Clifford and Doris Root Hooten. Following high school Greg went on to earn his degree in Graphic Art. He worked as a commercial artist for KMK Industries in Milwaukee retiring in 2000 after 30 years on the job. Greg was united in marriage with Christine Christensen on August 16 1975 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Wauwatosa. The couple settled in Milwaukee and raised their son moving to Port Washington after Greg retired. Mr. Hooten enjoyed hunting fishing woodworking and building. He was a handy jack-of-all-trades who was happy working with his hands. He made many birdhouses for his family and neighbors. He would often stop to fix things throughout the neighborhood while he was out on his daily walks. Greg is survived by his wife Christine of Port Washington their son Curtis (Rachel) Hooten of Milwaukee and his mother Doris Hooten of Wauwatosa. He is further survived by his sister Judi (Michael) Decker of California brother Michael (the late Karen) Hooten of Brookfield twin brother Gary (Jane) Hooten of Mukwonago sister-in-law Karin (Rev. James) Zuehls of Ankeny IA 2 grand-dogs nieces nephews other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 7PM on Friday April 5th at the Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington. Rev. James Zuehls will preside. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Friday from 5-7PM.
