Grace M. Lanser of Port Washington, formerly of Belgium passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022 at the age of 95. She was born the daughter of Frank and Catherine (nee Schommer) Schmitz on December 24, 1926. She married George Lanser at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Dacada. In 1951 the couple founded Lanser Garage and Towing Inc. specializing in heavy duty towing and recovery. It was later sold to their daughter and son-in-law. Grace was most proud of her family and the family business. Grace will remain in the hearts of her 3 daughters Donna (Randy) Ingelse of Belgium, Joyce Lanser and Lynn (Dennis) Didier of Port Washington; 10 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and was soon to be a great-great grandmother; siblings Evelyn Walber, John (Mary) Schmitz; sister-in-law Monica Schmitz; She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends and staff at Harbor Club. She was preceded in death by husband George, twin great-grandsons Lennan and Dilan McDaniel; 9 brothers and 2 sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 6:00PM on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Divine Savior Congregation – Holy Cross Chapel 5330 County Road B, Belgium, WI 53004 with Fr. Buya presiding. The family will receive visitors on Friday, February 11th prior to Mass at Eernisse Funeral Home 171 N. Royal Ave., Belgium WI 53004 from 2:00PM-5:30PM. *Masks will be required at the funeral home and church*. Grace will be laid to rest next to her husband George on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at St. Mary's Lake Church Cemetery in Belgium.
