Gloria Jean Bruhn of Fredonia, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at the age of 82. She was born to Donald and Helen (nee Dusharm) McIntosh on March 2, 1942 in Gouverneur, NY.

Gloria grew up in upstate New York where she graduated from Clifton-Fine Central School. She worked as a nursing assistant working primarily in OB. She later met Alan Bruhn, and on April 23, 1966 they were married in Milwaukee where they resided until they moved to Fredonia in 1975 and raised their family.

After settling down in Fredonia, Gloria worked at Moebius Printing in Fredonia, The Village Market Grocery store, Baumann's Meat Market and Grocery, and in the kitchen at the Northern Ozaukee Schools.

Gloria was a member of the Warren Kane American Legion Post 410 Women's Auxiliary. She was one of the first female firefighters on the Fredonia Fire Department and was a member of the Northern Ozaukee Ambulance. Gloria attended MATC to receive her Firefighter and EMT certifications.

During her free time, Gloria was an avid reader. She also enjoyed drawing, camping and especially going up north with Alan to visit her dear friends Barb and Ron.

Gloria's memory will be cherished by her children, Judy, Kathy (Kevin) Braby, Michael, and Daniel (Hannelore); grandchildren Austin (Amanda), Nathanael, and Gabriel; siblings Philip McIntosh and Ann Lashomb. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alan, son David and brother James McIntosh.

A visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 pm on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave, Port Washington, WI 53074. The family will receive guests at the funeral home during this time.
