IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gerald E.
Stemper
May 20, 1952 – November 20, 2022
Gerald "Jerry" "Stem" Stemper passed away peacefully at his home in Little Kohler, WI on Sunday, November 20th, 2022 after a hard fought battle with cancer.
He was born May 20th, 1952 in Port Washington, WI, son of Edward and Phyllis Stemper. He grew up on the family farm in Little Kohler, WI, and graduated from Random Lake High School in 1970. He remained living in the area for the remainder of his life.
He worked at Mueller's Sales and Service in Random Lake as a mechanic for 50 years working his last day in September, 2022. He never considered his work to be work. It was a joy for him. Being a mechanic was who he was and he loved it. There was not a vehicle he couldn't fix. He was commonly referred to as "Stem" at work with some customers never knowing his real name. To him coworkers and customers were an extended family.
He was always full of life and quick with a joke. If you were talking with him you were going to be laughing. He particularly enjoyed motorcycle riding, music, a good comedy and spending time with family and friends. He was always tinkering and happy to take on many odd jobs for family and friends.
He had a very strong faith believing God was always at the wheel and found strength in prayer.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years Tammy (nee Voeller) of Little Kohler, son Patrick (Jessica) Stemper of Grafton, daughter Lesley (Deakin) Washatko of Antigo, six grandchildren Ella, Kias, Ayda, Nolan, Milo, and Avia, mother Phyllis Stemper of Little Kohler, WI, sister Jackie (Jeff) Voeks of Wausaukee, WI brothers Daniel (Sharon) Stemper and brother Jim (Janis) Stemper, both of Little Kohler, WI, multiple nieces and lastly his black cat Bebe.
He was preceded in death by his father Edward Stemper.
He will be dearly missed but remains in our hearts, minds and memories forever.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life with a visitation at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington on Thursday, December 8th, 2022 from 4:30-7:30 pm.
If desired, memorials are suggested in lieu of flowers.
