Gerald A. “Jerry” Kubicek, of Random Lake, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, July 18, 2026. He was 71 years old.

Born in Milwaukee on December 10, 1954, Jerry was the son of Alfred and Margaret “Peggy” (née Rodden) Kubicek. He was raised in South Milwaukee and graduated from South Milwaukee High School with the Class of 1973.

On March 3, 1984, Jerry married the love of his life, Nancy Bertram. Together they built a life centered on family, friendship, and hard work. Nancy preceded him in death in 2025, and Jerry missed her deeply.

Jerry dedicated more than 25 years to his career as a union laborer and plasterer. Throughout the years, he contributed to numerous projects across southeastern Wisconsin, including the construction of Miller Park in Milwaukee—a source of pride for him and his family.

Those who knew Jerry will remember his friendly nature, generous spirit, and willingness to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, whether gathered around a campfire, out fishing or hunting, or simply sharing stories. He especially loved helping others with remodeling and home improvement projects, always ready with his skills, advice, and a strong work ethic.

Jerry is lovingly remembered by his children: Tony (Laura) Kubicek, Kadie (Chad) Peters, Amanda (Elliot) Kadow, and Vince (Heather) Zielinski. He was a proud grandfather to Milly, Zoe, Lexi, Oona Zielinski, and Casey Kubicek. He is further survived by four brothers, one sister, other relatives, and many dear friends whose lives were enriched by his kindness and friendship.

Jerry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy; his parents, Alfred and Peggy Kubicek; and one brother.

Honoring Jerry's wishes, private family services will be held.
