Gerald G. Hubing “Jerry”
Gerald “Jerry” G. Hubing, of Belgium, entered into eternal life in the evening hours of Friday, February 13, 2026. He was 92 years old.
He was born on November 27, 1933, to parents John and Sylvina (nee Rach) Hubing. Jerry enlisted in the United States Army in 1954 and served until being honorably discharged in 1956. On June 30, 1956, he was united in marriage with Arlene Soborowski at St. Nicholas Church in Dacada. Together they raised three children.
Jerry was a member of IAM Machinist Union, Divine Savior Parish, Catholic Knights Society, Catholic Order of Foresters, the Belgium American Legion Post 412, and the Belgium Fire Department.
Jerry retired from Simplicity Manufacturing Co. in Port Washington after 39 years as a machinist. After retiring, he liked to do gardening and volunteer work at the church, the American Legion Post 412, Camp American Legion in Lake Tomahawk, and the fire department. He would also help his children whenever he could.
He is survived by his loving wife Arlene, children Steven (Susan) Hubing, Carol Krier, and Jane (John) Donald, grandchildren; Jason (Heather) DeRuyter, Travis (Sue) DeRuyter, Spencer (Amanda) Krier, Olivia (Max) Gasser, and Kelly (fiancé Eladio Perez) Hubing, step-grandchildren; Brittany (Jay) Demaske, and Mindy (Mitch) Bartczak, great-grandchildren; Allie, Sawyer, Laila, Holden, Aiden, Gordon, and Gus, and step-great-grandchildren; Madison, Morgan, Dex, Maes, Lilly, Jordy, Ben, and Dane. Jerry is further survived by his sister Mary Bares, sister-in-law Sandra Hubing, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents John and Sylvina, infant son Joseph, sons-in-law James Krier and Glenn DeRuyter, grandson Matthew Krier, and siblings Donald (Harriet) Hubing, Emil (Camilla) Hubing, Robert (Lucille) Hubing, Joseph (Eleanor) Hubing, John “Junior” (Elaine) Hubing, Melvin Hubing, Genrose (Alex) Brabender, Agnes (Frank) Bahr, Regina (Fred) Augustine, Kathleen (Ken) Bares, Norbert (Ester) Hubing, Gertrude (Ed) Fieber, and brother-in-law Gene Bares.
Funeral services for Jerry will be celebrated at 5 PM on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Eernisse Funeral Home, 171 N. Royal Ave. Belgium. The family will greet guests from 3 PM until the time of the service at 5 PM. Belgium Fire & Rescue and the Belgium American Legion Post 412 will conduct a walk-thru at 4:30 PM.
He will be laid to rest with military honors at St. Mary Cemetery in Lake Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to Belgium Fire and Rescue or the Belgium American Legion Post.
The family extends a heartfelt thanks to the Belgium Rescue Squad and Northern Ozaukee Ambulance, and the staff and hospice care at Aurora Medical Center for their care and compassion.
