Gerald F. Prom Premo Gerald Prom of Belgium passed away peacefully in the morning hours of Sunday March 29 2015 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was 86 years old. Gerald was born in Plymouth on December 22 1928 son of Henry Prom and Josephine Krier Prom. He grew up in the Belgium/ Lake Church area and graduated from Port Washington High School. After high school he served his country in the US Army during the Korean Crisis. On November 5 1955 he married Marilyn Paulus at St. Rose of Lima Catholic church in Fredonia. Gerald was the owner of Sharon Cutwell Co. which is a tool grinding and specialty tool manufacturing company for 30 years currently located in the Town of Belgium. He was an active member of Divine Savior Parish and the Belgium American Legion Post where he was a Past Commander. Gerald also was a former member of the Belgium Village Board and a former member of the St. Mary Parish Cemetery Board. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved spending time at their cottage bowling playing cards and golf. Gerald is survived by his wife of 59 years Marilyn of Belgium five children: Jackie (Willie) Perez of Belgium Marijo (Paul) Rommelfaenger of Union Grove Scott (LynnAnn) Prom of Shelburne VT Pam (Brian) Huiras of Fredonia and Jeff (Denise) Prom of Cedarburg. He is further survived by 16 grandchildren 11 great-grandchildren siblings Shirley (the late Ken) Conrad of Port Washington Floyd (the late Nancy) Prom of Port Washington Henry (Carol) Prom of West Bend Eleanor (the late Richard) Prom of Belgium Suzie (the late Carl) Arndt of Belgium Paula (Alan Butch) Klopp of Port Washington and Pauline (Dan) Schmidt of Port Washington nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday April 1st at 6 PM at Divine Savior Parish-Holy Cross Chapel in the town of Belgium. He will be laid to rest with military honors in St. Mary Parish Cemetery in Lake Church. Visitation will take place at the CHURCH on Wednesday April 1st from 3-5:45 PM with an American Legion walk-thru at 5 PM. The Eernisse Funeral Home Belgium is assisting the family.
