DOWNING, GERALD T. Died Peacefully February 7, 2016, at the Horizon Lawlis Family Hospice, Mequon, at the age of 76 years. Beloved husband of Mary for 51 years, loving father of Christopher (Sarah) and Jonathan (Angela), proud grandpa of Naomi, Temperance, Julia, William, Elliot and the late Charlotte Downing, further survived by 3 sisters, 2 sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law and many precious neighbors and friends. Jerry graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Chemistry and enjoyed over 30 years of employment with the W.H. Brady Co. as manager of Research and Development for their Specialty Tape Division. He retired in 1999. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 27th, at 11AM at the Grand Avenue United Methodist Church, 505 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington., with visitation from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Memorials are appreciated to the Ozaukee County Humane Society or Pine View Wildlife Rehabilitation & Education Center, Fredonia.
