Georgianna "Gigi" Irene Taylor Hecker of Fredonia joined her daughter Rachel in heaven and began her eternal life with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at the age of 64. She was born to Charles and Dorothy (nee Demey) Taylor in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California on December 6, 1953. Gigi was united in marriage to Mark A. Hecker on January 16, 1982 and together they had two beloved children, Rachel and Michael. Gigi spent the majority of her time with her family and friends while serving others and refusing to be served. She played piano throughout her life while developing a love of Southern Gospel music, and she adored listening to her musical family perform. She was committed to her church and developed lifelong friendships throughout her 24 years working at Shopko pharmacy. Gigi was always on the go with her grandkids. She is survived by her husband Mark; son Michael (Rachel) Hecker; son- and daughter-in-law Matthew and Kathleen (nee Jurkiewicz) Kirchner; grandchildren Eva and Joseph Kirchner; brother Edward (Jean) Taylor; mother-in-law Carol (nee Schmahl) Hecker; best friend of thirty-eight years Susan Paisley; and many beloved nieces, nephews, friends, and bonus family members. She was preceded in death by her daughter Rachel (nee Hecker) Kirchner; parents Charles and Dorothy Taylor; and sister-in-law Sharon (nee Campbell) Taylor. A Funeral Service for Gigi will be held at 6:00PM on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at Eernisse Funeral Home (1600 W. Grand Ave. Port Washington, WI 53074). Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3:00PM until the time of service. Gigi will be laid to rest at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Mequon.
