George J. Schalk Mr. George J. Schalk age 84 years of Port Washington passed away unexpectedly on Friday August 11 2006 at his residence at the Harbor Village in Port Washington. George was born on May 26 1922 in New Riegel OH son of Alphons Schalk and Catherine Reinhart Schalk. After serving his country in the United States Navy Mr. Schalk came to Milwaukee and worked as a steamfitter for Steamfitters Local 601. He is a member of the Loyal Order of Moose International Chapter 732 of West Bend a retired member of Steamfitters Local 601 and enjoyed playing cards fishing and collecting stamps and coins. George is survived by his four children; George Jr. of Cascade David (Debra) of Waldo Teri Paulin of Cascade and Debra Fredricks of Port Washington. He is further survived by 8 grandchildren; Chase Roger Jennifer Jamie Madalynn Sarah Rebekah and Catharine 8 brothers and sisters; Rita Wurm Marie Scherger Gervase (Bill) Craig Rose (Joe) Smith Simon (Martha) Schalk Florus (Viola) Schalk Raymond (Annie) and Arthur (Shirley) Schalk all of Ohio nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday August 16th 7 PM at the Funeral Home with Father Karl Acker officiating. Burial will be held at St. Boniface Cemetery in New Riegel OH. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Wednesday the 16th from 5-7 PM.
