George M. Decker Mr. George Decker of Terry Lane in the town of Port Washington passed away early Thursday morning February 18 2010 at his residence. He was 93 years old. George was born in Port Washington on November 21 1916 the son of Nicholas and Anna Leitner Decker. After graduating from Port Washington High School George proudly served his country in the United States Army. He later worked as a master wood craftsman at Voeks Creations in Waubeka. Mr. Decker was a life-long member of St. Maryrsquo;s Catholic Church in Port Washington. He enjoyed woodworking archery oil painting bird watching biking walking and fishing with his special fishing buddy Ronald. George is survived by one brother Nicholas of Port Washington one sister Esther (Norbert) Hubing of Tucson AZ seven nieces and nephews numerous great nieces and nephews special great nephew Mike Kempfer of Port Washington special friend Ronald (Terry) Wysocki of Port Washington and other friends. He was preceded in death by 4 siblings: Hildegrade Barwick Frances Raymond and Lawrence Decker. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11AM on Wednesday March 3 2010 at St. Maryrsquo;s Catholic Church 430 Johnson St. in Port Washington. nbsp;Father Thomas Lijewski will officiate. He will be laid to rest in St. Maryrsquo;s Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the church on Wednesday morning from 10-11AM. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to a charity of choice.
