GEORGE J. GANTNER George Gantner age 96 years of Port Washington died Thursday evening August 2 2007 at Harbor Cove in Port Washington. He was born July 28 1911 in Belgium son of Phillip and Cecelia Ternes Gantner. George served in the U.S. Army during WW II . On April 10 1943 he married Eleanore Schmitz at Ascension Church in Los Angeles. He worked as an assembler at Simplicity Manufacturing retiring in 1976. He was a member of St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church and the Catholic Order of Foresters. He is survived by his wife Eleanore three sons Robert (Karen) Gantner and Richard (Ardy) Gantner both of Port Washington and Gary (Lois) Gantner of Watertown 13 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday August 7 3 PM at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church 1800 N. Wisconsin St. Port Washington. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery Lake Church. Visitation at the CHURCH Tuesday from 1-3 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials to Harbor Club or VITAS Innovative Hospice appreciated.
