George M. Eger passed away on June 4, 2019, the same way he lived his life--on his own terms; in his own bed, his own home, having ordered prime rib from his favorite restaurant the night before. He was 75 years old. George was born in Dundee, Ohio on July 29, 1943 to Harold and Jane (McNary) Eger. Having moved to Detroit, the Motor City, during the golden age of cars, George began and cultivated a lifetime love for vehicles. This was paled only in comparison to his love for family. George loved experiencing life through food, conversations, travel, and friends. George is survived by his wife Ann (Fransee) Eger, son John (Robin) Eger and children Josiah, Sarah, Anna, and Asher; daughter Katie (Bill) Hansen and children Matthew and Michael; and sister Virginia (Eger) Collawn. George is further survived by other relatives and friends. George is preceded in death by both of his parents and sister, Mary (Eger) Kibbe. Per George's wishes, a private family service was held.
