Longtime Menomonee Falls resident Genevieve Mary Badke was born to Eternal Life on Tuesday July 9, 2019 at the age of 92. She was born in Brookfield, WI on May 6, 1927, the daughter of Edward and Marie (nee Smith) Becker Sr.. Genevieve was named after the song "Sweet Genevieve" which her mother played on the organ in church every Sunday. She was united in marriage to William C. Badke Sr. on June 30, 1945. Their marriage was blessed with 3 children. Her family grew to include 6 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Genevieve was the definition of a busy person. After retiring from Gimbels where she worked for 20+ years, she began working for the Menomonee Falls School District and then the Trysting Place Pub for many years. In her married life she liked traveling with her family. Traveling to many places including Hawaii, Europe, Jamaica, Cayman Islands, and Mexico. She enjoyed square dancing, playing sheepshead, and going out to eat and dancing with her husband Bill, Uncle John and Aunt Lorraine. Yet she always found the time to attend her grandchildren's sporting events, school plays, birthday parties, and family gatherings. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Marie Becker Sr., husband William Badke Sr., son William Badke Jr., siblings Edward Becker Jr. and Arline Fries and great-granddaughter Kailie Douyette. Survivors include her daughters Kathleen Kuhlenbeck and Patricia Douyette; grandchildren Tammie (Michael) Kochevar, Jody (Jennifer) Kuhlenbeck, Carissa Badke, Shana Douyette, Autumn Douyette and Charish Douyette; great-grandchildren Justin Kochevar, Chaz Kochevar, Bailey Kochevar, Gavin Kuhlenbeck, Cora Kuhlenbeck, Gage Kuhlenbeck, Dustin Badke, Ciara Badke, Caleb Douyette, Cadian Douyette, Mia Douyette, Terrill Douyette, Danika Jackson, Shania Jackson, Arianna Douyette, Bianca Salgado, Javonni Salgado, Messiah Prigeon and Nevaeh Douyette and great-great grandchildren Landyn Kochevar, Monroe Kochevar, Paityn Badke, Mylee Badke and Paisley Rose. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial 1:30 PM on Friday July 19, 2019 at St. Anthony Parish, N74W13604 Appleton Ave., Menomonee Falls, WI 53051. Interment St. Anthony Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday at the church from 11:30 AM until time of Mass. A special thank you to Ellen's Home in Germantown where Grandma spent her final days.
