Gale F. Philipps went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. She was 87 years old.

She was born on September 5, 1938, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin to parents Frank and Mabel (nee Russ) Ingersoll. Gale was united in marriage with Frederick “Fritz” Philipps on February 13, 1982, at First Congregational Church in Port Washington, Wisconsin.

Gale enjoyed reading, baking, and bowling. She loved to go to the YMCA and the library. Above all, she cherished her time spent with her family and friends.

Gale is survived by her husband Frederick “Fritz”, children Ben (Kelly) Melsheimer, and Casey (Jean) Melsheimer, grandchildren Brittany Melsheimer Szymanski, and Josh Melsheimer, great-grandchildren Billy and Dillion Kennedy. She is further survived by her siblings Alice (Tim), Karen, and Brad, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Peter Melsheimer and daughter Sue Kennedy.

A celebration of Life for Gale will be held in the near future.
