Gail A. Groshek Gail Groshek age 72 years of Saukville died July 20 2012 at Horizon Hospice in Mequon. She was born November 15 1939 in Milwaukee daughter of the late Luther Lutz and Lillian Rutherford Rathke. Gail was a 1957 graduate of Port Washington High School and attended nursing school at Milwaukee Lutheran Hospital. On August 25 1960 she married Maynard Groshek at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton. He preceded her in death in 1997. Gail was instrumental in starting the oncology clinic at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Port Washington. She continued working at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital in Mequon until retiring in 2004. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton and enjoyed reading traveling and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her two children John (Jody) of Batavia and Beth (Michael) Petruzates of Clintonville four grandchildren Nicole Jacob Megan and Jessica her sister Irene (Skeeter) Schmitz of Oostburg three brothers Rich (Evie) Rathke of Fredonia Tom (Kathy) Rathke of VA and Ernie (Sandy) Rathke of Belgium nieces nephews other relatives and friends. Funeral Tuesday July 24 11 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church 701 Washington St. Grafton. Interment St. Paul Cemetery. Visitation at the Eernisse Funeral Home Cedarburg Monday from 5-8 PM and at the Church Tuesday from 10 AM until time of services.
