Obituary

FREDERICK WALLNER III "Fred" "Rick" 8/10/1945 – 5/8/2020 First born son of Frederick Jr. and Dorothy Emily (Trenschel) Wallner of Port Washington, Fred was born on August 10, 1945 and passed away Friday, May 8, 2020 at his home while surrounded by his loving family. He attended local schools, and after graduating from PWHS went on to serve his country in the US Army as a Track Vehicle Mechanic from 1963-1966. Fred was united in marriage with Patricia "Patty" Schmitt at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lake Church on November 28, 1968. He worked most of his life as a truck driver and enjoyed his Teamster retirement. He liked to spend his free time shooting trap, fishing, hunting, and owned and rode motorcycles his complete adult life. He was a 15 year member of American Legion Post 470 in Saukville where he served in a number of capacities and was also nominated Legionnaire of the year 2016. He is a life-time resident of the Town of Saukville. He is survived by his loving wife Patty of 52 years, daughters Rebecca Barrie and Cindy (Tim) Raasch, and beloved grandsons Hunter and Caulden. He is also survived by siblings David (Sarah) Wallner, Wendy (Jeff) Ader and Richard (Donna) Wallner, nieces, nephews, and many good friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Corey Shamah, the staff at Aurora Cancer Clinic in Grafton, the Nurses in "Infusion", and also the wonderful Hospice caregivers for their care and compassion. A gathering in remembrance of Fred will be held at the American Legion Post 470 in Saukville, to include Military Honors, at a date and time to be determined.
