With deep regret we announce the loss of Franklin Harold Palmer Jr. of Hwy 144 in the Town of Scott. He passed away on Friday October 8 2010 at the age of 53 of a heart attack. Born in Rice Lake WI on November 8 1956 to Franklin Harold Palmer Sr. (deceased) and Leona Helen Palmer (nee King deceased). His siblings included Raymond Daniel and Cheryl (all deceased) and Joyce Palmer. Graduating from Washington High School in 1974 he married Laura Palmer (nee Degenhardt) on November 1 1975 in Doctorrsquo;s Park Milwaukee. Laura survives her husband of almost 35 years and best friend in sorrow.nbsp; Their only child Heather Leona Palmer was born on January 25 1981. She lives in New York City. He is also survived by his loyal dogs Lola and Wilson whom benefitted from his constant attentions and tendernessmdash;as did all of us. nbsp; We desire to express and celebrate in the wake of our heavy loss the full life of the deceased. His high sense of honor flawless virtues peerless talents and ever-memorable character will be greatly missed. Possessing a mind of superior intelligence Franklin was forever seeking greater knowledge and understanding. In the course of his life he became a true Renaissance man. His experiences and hobbies are too numerous to name but include: mechanical expertise a degree in electronics locksmithing aviation repair fly-fishing boating gardening and constant home improvements. He was a consummate and traditional craftsman mastering leather wood and metal work. Also in his lifetime he accumulated a vast knowledge of American history and politics. A gun-toting Democrat with a passion for equality and liberty he was concerned for the wellbeing of all. nbsp; Mr. Palmerrsquo;s character was one of generosity and his sense of humor unique for its combination of irony cynicism wit and wonder.
