Mr. Frank Kirschbraun of Lasata Crossings formerly of West Allis passed away at Lasata Nursing Home on Friday February 8 2013. He was 92 years old. Frank was born on June 7 1920 in Omaha NE son of Edwin and Helene Rubel Kirschbraun. As a child he grew up in Winnetka IL. He was a proud alumnus of New Trier High School. Following his schooling he served in the United States Army Air Corp spending the majority of his service in Alaska during World War II. On January 29 1949 he was united in marriage with Jean Clark in De Pere WI. The couple settled in the area and started their family. They later moved to the Milwaukee area settling in West Allis. Frank worked in transportation sales before retiring in 1985. Mr. Kirschbraun loved politics and was happy to debate any topic with anyone. He was an active member of the West Allis Taxpayers Association enjoyed writing letters to the editor of the Milwaukee Journal and was a member of Toastmasters International. He enjoyed bowling woodworking and loved puttering in the yard. Frank and Jean moved to Cedarburg in 2011. Mr. Kirschbraun is survived by his wife Jean their four children: Ginnie (Steve) Davis of Cedarburg Beth (Gary) Flehmer also of Cedarburg Tom (Teresa) Kirschbraun of Chicago and Nancy (Matt) Wade of New Berlin. He is further survived by 7 grandchildren 3 great-grandchildren sister Edna Mayer of New York sister-in-law Dorothy Kirschbraun of Dallas TX nieces nephews other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers: Jack and Donald Kirschbraun. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 PM on Wednesday February 13 at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1167 Washington Ave. Cedarburg. He will be laid to rest at a later date at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery in De Pere. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-6:30 PM. Memorials are suggested to the Winnetka Community House a recreation facility that provided him with some of the fondest memories of his youth.
